Describing a summer festival

The summer festival is called "Berbena de Sant Joan" and we celebrate it on the 23rd of June, that is the day with the shorter night of the year. Usually, the people celebrate this summer festival preparing special Diners at home or in restaurants with family or friends.

There are special activities, the fireworks and there are small ones for the kids and big ones for the adults. After dinner people play with them.

People use to prepare, a very good dinner and there is a special food for that day called "coca de Sant Joan". Visitors bring the deserts like the "coca de Sant Joan".

It is a very nice night and all the people like very much to see the fireworks in the night, they are lovely!

A class survey

My classmates have played football, paddle, tennis, squash and basketball. They also have danced and gone skating. Most people in my class have played paddle, tennis, squash and they have danced. Ten per cent of them have played football, but no one has tried baseball. A few people have played basketball and one person gone skating.

A few people in my class have tried an adventure sport. The adventure sport that they have played are: kayaking, horse riding and ski. Most people have played horse riding and ski. Only one person played kayaking. No one has tried climbing, because is very difficult and dangerous!

I prefer adventure sports, because they are very exciting.

An interview

Police officer: What time was the crime?

Elisabet: It was about 12 o'clock in the morning while I was walking with my dog “Miss” in the street, when I saw it.

Police officer: What did you see?

Elisabet: I saw a big white man.

Police officer: What was he doing?

Elisabet: He was spraying a graffiti in the street! Exacly on the wall that’s behind the shopping centre and in front of that pastry where you can buy those lovely strawberry cakes, called “Yami yami”.

Police officer: What did the criminal look like?

Elisabet: The criminal was wearing a red and white cap, because he was bead. He was also wearing round glasses. He was fat and he was wearing old, big, brown jacket and blue jeans. His shoes were white and he had a lot of sprays in a blue and yellow cartoon box.

Hi Sònia,
I'm going to buy Mireia a game console. I'll give her “The Sims 3”. She loves “The Sims 2”.
Are you going to give her a dog? She loves pets! or...Are you going to buy her a twilight book? She likes films, and the book is fantastic. I'm sure she'll like it.
This Saturday, I'm going to my sister's house with my nephew, Iker. I'll spent until Sunday there.

A poster

Many people visit the beaches in our country every summer. People leave cigarretes, cans, bags, paper in our beaches and that pollute the world.
This affects to the people, because they go to the beach and they find rubbish. The children play in the sand and they find cigarretes, papers...
People don't like rubbish in the sea or in the sand, it is nasty!
If the people leave cigarretes and other things in the sand it affects the animals. Because if the rubbish arrive to the sea, and the animals will be hurt and it will cause pollution.
If animals can would speak, they would be very angry with us, we're polluting their world.
If this continues, that means global warming. Because the temperature increases, the sea flood the cities...
We're making a different world, the planet of the heat.
We can help the world in differents ways: recycle (papers, plastic, glass), turn off the lights, dont' waste water, don't pollute rivers, don't cut down all the trees, don't pollute beaches....

A ghost story

Once upon a time, in 1814, a lovely family bought an old house. In this house, there was a child ghost. His name was Mingou.
He was always looking at the family, and one day, the family saw him. They were frightened. Mingou was sitting in the sofa and explained his history.
He was a very funny, nice and friendly kid that lived in this house with his parents.
Mongou started the story:
- We were very happy, but one day, I was ill. One month later, I died, and I has only 4 years old.
My parents were very sad and they were gone.
I'm waiting hear. Maybe they come back...
The family and Mongou became friends.

A biography

Kristen Jaymes Stewart is my favourite actress.
She was born on 9th of April of 1990. Now, she is 19 years old.
She was born in Los Angeles, California.
Kristen is a northamerican actress. She works for cinema and television.
She does a lot of films.
In 1999 she did a film "Tritón por accidente", where she had a small rol.
In 2007 seh did The Messengers, where she voled as Jess Solomon, the daughter of a family who lives a horror story.
And a lot of films more.
When she was young, she studied to be an actress. A man saw Kristen when she was in acting in the theatre of in her school, at Cristhmas.
Now she is a film star, a very famous actress.
At the moment she is in a film "Twilight (Crepúsculo)", with Robert Pattison, where she voles as Isabella Swan (Bella), and he is Edward Cullen.

My favourite TV programme

My favourite TV programme is The Simpsons.
The simpsons is a cartoon and comedy programme. I like it because it is funny and I laugh very much with all the characters.
The programme tells the story of a family and their adventures of every day. The names of the characters are: Homer, Marge, Bart, Lisa and Maggie.
My favourite of all is Lisa, because she is very intelligent and she likes music like me. The Simpsons is a very old programme, because it's been on TV for a long time.

A despription of a typical weekend

On Friday evening, I always stay in. I usually meet friends on Saturday afternoon.
At the weekend I play tenis, I go horse riding and I play Padel.
On Saturday morning, I play tenis with Júlia and Clàudia and I ride a horse called Ainara.
In the evening, I usually go to the cinema with my parents.
On Sunday morning, I sometimes get up early and in the afternoon, I relax in my house and I play diferents games.
I do my homework on Friday afternoon and I study on Saturday morning.

Last summer holidays

This holidays in July I went to England and I visited a beautiful town, Poole. Poole was very quiet and nice.
I spent two weeks in Platja d'Aro with my parents and my two dogs.
In the afternoon, I went to the beach and I went shopping in Platja d'Aro or Palamós.
In the night some days I went to differents restaurants and ate my favourite food, fillet.
In September, my nephew was born. His name is Iker. Every day in September I got up at eight o'clock because I went to Sonia's house, (Sonia is my sister). Now, my nephew is only two weeks, and is very handsome!
This summer was very nice and funny!
