On Christmas Eve British people "hang up their stockings"so that Father Christmas can fill them with presents.


Boxing day:
Boxing Day is the day after Christmas. The tradition started in the 1700s. The rich gave Christmas boxes with presents to their employees. In Britain, "Boxing Day" is a public holiday.
